Purecane-Sweetened Condensed Milk:

Crust Ingredients:

Filling Ingredients:

Directions

  1. Make your Purecane-sweetened condensed milk by combining all ingredients into a pot and bringing to a rolling boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes, stirring continuously during that time.
  2. Remove the condensed milk from heat and allow it to cool slightly before moving to a refrigerator-safe container. Refrigerate overnight.
  3. Using a food processor, combine all of the crust ingredients until coarse, sand-like crumbs form. Reserve about ½ cup of the crumbs for an optional crunchy topping.
  4. Line a 9x13 baking pan with wax paper and pat the crumb mixture into the pan (minus the ½ cup reserved for topping).
  5. Bake at 350°F for 10 minutes and set aside to cool.
  6. While the crust is cooling, using an electric mixer, whip together all the filling ingredients until light and fluffy.
  7. Pour the filling onto the cooled crust, and place the entire dessert in the freezer, covered, for at least 6 hours.
  8. If you prefer, you can add an extra crunchy topping by using the reserved crumbs from step three. Bake on a baking sheet at 350°F for 5 minutes, allow to cool slightly, and then lightly sprinkle on top of the dessert!
  9. When ready to serve and eat, let dessert thaw slightly on the counter for about 10-15 minutes. Enjoy!
